Welcome to our Garden!

The 4-H YUFC (Youth Urban Farming Club) has served the Youth of Hudson County every summer since 2016.  We teach young gardeners through weekly lessons, observations, planting/growing pollinator plants, as well as nutrition. We hope to both inspire and teach the next generation how to lead sustainable and environmentally conscience lives. Youth ages 12 through 18 are welcome to join us!

Our Apiary

Our Apiary started in 2022, with just two flow hives and a package of bees. It has now grown to 4 colonies of honey bees that help pollinate our cemetery grounds. Our beekeepers Simran Nazareth and Roger Moss tend to the hives frequently and encourage any interested volunteers to reach out! Additionally, we sell our honey on our online shop and at cemetery events!

Please note that the 4-H and apiary grounds are off-limits to the general public. Trespassing onto these parts of the cemetery is dangerous and illegal.

To see more pictures like this, as well as information on the events we host, follow us on Instagram and Facebook. To learn more about our team click here. To learn more about how you can volunteer with us write us an email! If you are interested in purchasing honey, click here to view our online shop. We hope to see you in our 4-H garden and apiary soon!

The upkeep for our apiary and garden is expensive! As a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, we need your help keeping the green spaces in Jersey City alive! One of our future goals for our cemetery garden is to involve the community in beekeeping and gardening workshops. We would appreciate any donations you can give us! We also offer the chance to sponsor a hive. To learn more about how you can help us maintain our garden as well as other cemetery grounds, click here. Thank you for helping us!
